Hello,my interested readers.My name is İdil. and I am a nursing student at Medipol University.First off all,this blog appeals to nurses,nursing students and those who are curious about disaster nursing.The purpose of this blog is explain to disaster nursing education and disaster nurses responsibilities.I will explain these topics to you with the articles I researched and the pictures I found.I hope it will be useful to those who read it and thank you very much in advance for reading.

DISASTER NURSING EDUCATION

Most of the countries people learn disaster nursing education.Let’s begin with,shortly “What is the disaster nursing.Disaster nursing is purpose of the protect and help people in negative conditions.Do you know why disaster nursing is important in the worlwide?We can explain this for three main reasons.These three main causes why disaster nursing education is important are;not considered important enough at university,help people in general ways and reduce of effects the disaster.

First cause is,not considered important enough at university.In the university,lecturers care of only nursing who to work in hospital.Because negative conditions do not think in normal days.Also university lessons do not include disaster nursing.But when disasters occur, we need to helping of disaster nurses.For this reason,disaster nursing education must give us from university lecturers.

Second and other cause is, help people in general ways.In times of disaster,people need to help other people.When we say helping,in our minds we think nurses.In these times people requirement different things especially health solutions.For example,earthquake occured and a brick fell on our body.In this situation a nurse will help us.

Last and thirdly cause is , reduce of effects the disasters. If in each area will have disaster nurses this will reduce of effects the disaster.People can think of our country as an example.If Turkey had enough disaster nurses,from earthquakes we will not influenced. Or when flooding occur in Black Sea Region, Turkey would not lost a lot of people.

In conclusion, disaster nursing education is important in worlwide because of not considered important enough at university,help people in general ways and reduce of effects the disaster.Nurses help when people are injured disasters.The effects of disasters are also reduced because nurses intervene.To sum up,disaster nursing education is major effects on people’s life.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF DISASTER NURSES

A disaster can occur around worlwide at any time.But generally we do not know what to do when a disaster occurs. We also need to reduce the impact of disasters on people .For this reasons,we need to help of nurses. Nurses provide us with solutions to these issues. There are many solutions ,but I will tell the three main duties of nurses from these solutions. These three main solutions are:nurses preparing for disaster before the disaster,taking care of patients during the disaster and helping patients after the disaster.

First solution is nurses preparing for disaster before the disaster. If nurses prepare before a disaster ,the effects of the disaster can be reduced. Because we do not know when disasters will occur, it would be an advantage to be prepared for nurses at all times. For example,when an earthquake will occur if nurses what to do ,we be saved with minimal damage.

Second solution is taking care of patients during the disaster.In the disasters,we may have an accident or get injured.For instance ,when there is a fire our body may burn.If we intervene incorrectly ,the burn may become worse. But if the person who knows what to do ,of course nurses, intervenes they will help the burn heal faster and easier.

The last and slightly different solution is helping patients after the disaster. Of course nurses helping patients in medical way, also they help patients as an extra in psychological after the disaster. Because after a disaster,people have wounds on their bodies and problems on their minds. In briefly,nurses first heal our wounds and then heal our minds.

In conclusion, three main duties of nurses from these solutions are: nurses preparing for disaster before the disaster,taking care of patients during the disaster and helping patients after the disaster.The role of nurses is very important in reducing the impact of disasters.In fact,we learned that before disasters,during disasters and after disasters are especially important.
